- Maritime and Freight
- Environment
The work of this group includes the following areas:
- policies for aviation and maritime
- policies for freight and logistics
- policies for transport security
- maritime, aviation and security legislation
- international relationships and agreements
- maritime and aviation transport rules
- transport emergency management and pandemic planning
- joint venture airports
- day to day policy engagement with Civil Aviation Authority, Aviation Security Service, Maritime NZ and Transport Accident Investigation Commission.
The General Manager Aviation and Maritime also has management responsibility for the New Zealand Search and Rescue Council Secretariat.
