The Office of the Chief Executive is responsible for:
- strategy and planning
- central agency and Crown entity governance and accountability
- stakeholder relationships
- Ministers’ Private Secretaries
- Search and Rescue Council Secretariat
The Ministry’s business services comprise Finance, Information, Communications, Legal, and People and Development. The General Manager, Office of the Chief Executive facilitates coordination across the Ministry’s business services, as required.
The General Manager, Office of the Chief Executive also provides managerial support for the Communications, Legal, and People and Development managers (although they report directly to the Chief Executive on functional matters).
