The Know How Guide on Land Transport Planning and Funding in New Zealand – the Land Transport Management Amendment Act 2003 provides practical advice for transport decision makers on the Land Transport Management Act 2003.
In June 2011 proposed changes to the Land Transport Management Act 2003 were announced. The proposed changes will enable the Act to be made simpler, more streamlined and less prescriptive. It is expected amending legislation will be introduced in the second half of 2011 or early 2012. Guidance in the Know How Guide should continue to be followed until the new legislation is passed.
