Aviation Medical Convener appointment

Transport Minister Steven Joyce has appointed Dr Martin Peterson as the Aviation Medical Convener under the Civil Aviation Act 1990, for a two year term. Dr Peterson will be working with Deputy Convener, Dr David Black.
The function of the Convener and Deputy Convener is to review decisions of the Director of Civil Aviation, or his delegates, regarding a medical certificate for a pilot or air traffic controller.
Dr Peterson has extensive experience in occupational and Air Force medicine, and served for ten years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
