The NZ Transport Agency consulted on the Agricultural Vehicle Omnibus Rule. Submissions closed at 5 pm on Friday 30 November 2012.
The New Zealand public and the transport sector were invited to make submissions on Vehicle Licensing Reform, which includes:
- warrant of fitness/certificate of fitness
- annual vehicle licensing (commonly known as registration)
- transport services licensing
The consultation closed on 31 October 2012.

Transport Minister Gerry Brownlee released a discussion document on New Zealand’s International Air Transport Policy on May 21. The discussion document proposed changes to benefit New Zealand’s economy. Submissions closed on 18 June 2012.
The agricultural sector is invited to have its say on proposed changes to transport regulation around agricultural vehicles. These changes are aimed at reducing compliance costs for agricultural vehicles while still protecting safety. Consultation on the proposals closed on 25 May 2012.
The Ministry of Transport is currently reviewing aspects of the Road Charges Bill, developing regulations relating to vehicle types and weight bands and proposals to remove time licences and exempting some vehicles from paying RUC. The period of consultation closed on 16 December 2011.
