We have produced the following reports on road safety as part of our work on developing the Safer Journeys strategy.


Report of Further Information on the Proposal to Lower the Adult Drink Drive Limit to BAC 0.05

The report outlines information on the 0.08 and 0.05 BAC (blood alcohol concentration) limits and considers some of the main arguments against lowering the adult drink drive limit.

Report on Road Safety Progress since 2000

This report summarises trends in road safety since 2000 and compares proposals outlined in the consultation document for the ‘Road Safety to 2010 strategy’ with actual trends and results in key road safety areas achieved through implementation of the 2010 strategy. The report also provides some analysis on why progress on targets set for 2010 has not been as expected.

This document compares proposed initiatives for high priority areas outlined in the Safer Journeys discussion document with road safety actions proposed or implemented in Australia.
