Package of documents relating to the announcement of proposals to respond to fleeing drivers.
The Cabinet paper, Cabinet minute, regulatory impact statement and briefings related to the 1 December 2022 announcement on proposals to respond to fleeing drivers. Please note, there is a continued data error on:
1 (paragraph 4) and page. 3 (paragraph 20) of the Cabinet paper
on 7 (paragraph 5) and in the table following paragraph 7 of the regulatory impact statement
on page 3 paragraph 12 and in the table following paragraph 13 of the briefing dated 22 September 2022
These documents should state that there were 8,673 fleeing driver events for the 12-month period up to 31 August 2022. Instead, they state there have been 8,673 fleeing driver events so far this (calendar) year. This is incorrect and an error.
