The Minister of Transport Gerry Brownlee has announced the next step in the investigation of Clifford Bay as a South Island ferry terminal.

The Minister says he considers the business case to be strong enough to justify further testing of the viability of a ferry terminal at Clifford Bay. The assumptions around the commercial parameters in the business case will be tested with key stakeholders.
